Aquasana's SmartFlow™ Reverse Osmosis Carbon Block and Advanced Carbon Block Replacements are designed to be compatible with the company's SmartFlow™ Reverse Osmosis Systems, specifically the models starting with AQ-SFRO. The multi-stage filtration process of the SmartFlow™ Reverse Osmosis system ensures maximum contaminant removal, and this replacement set, AQ-SFRO-S1S3, includes the Stage 1 Carbon Block and Stage 3 Advanced Carbon Block.

The Stage 1 Carbon Block reduces chlorine, taste, and odor prior to the reverse osmosis filtration, while the Stage 3 Advanced Carbon Block, the Claryum® filter block, ensures maximum contaminant removal. This filtration process combines activated and catalytic carbon filtration with ion-exchange and sub-micron filtration to tackle a wide range of contaminants, including lead, microplastics, VOCs, mercury, and more.

For the Stage 2 membrane replacement, the AQ-SFRO-S2 should be used, and for the Stage 4 remineralizer replacement, the AQ-SFRO-REMIN should be utilized. It's important to note that these replacement cartridges are not compatible with the Aquasana OptimH2O Reverse Osmosis systems.

The genuine Aquasana Stage 1 and 3 replacement carbon and Claryum filters are designed for the SmartFlow Reverse Osmosis Water Filter Systems, including the AQ-SFRO-NF, AQ-SFRO-CHR, AQ-SFRO-BN, AQ-SFRO-ORB, and AQ-SFRO-MB models. They are not compatible with the OptimH2O systems.

Replacing the filters is a straightforward process, as users simply need to twist out the used cartridge and replace it with an Aquasana replacement filter. It's crucial to use only certified, genuine Aquasana replacements to ensure continued contaminant removal. The replacement filters are designed to last for 6 months.

The SmartFlow Reverse Osmosis Carbon Block and Advanced Carbon Block Replacements are tested and certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to meet the NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, 58, 401, and CSA B483.1. This certification ensures that the filtration system can remove up to 99.99% of contaminants, including lead, chlorine, microplastics, VOCs, fluoride, chromium+6, TDS, PFOA, PFOS, asbestos, mercury, arsenic, chlorine, pharmaceuticals, and more.
